Quartz Carpet has developed an easy to use UV stable binder for exterior applications. This high-strength Polyurethane binder has the advantage of curing incredibly fast but still remains easy to use. Our PU 300 is a UV resistant binder that makes it possible to lay resin bound surfaces on terraces, balconies, walkways, and swimming pool decks.
4 hour cure time
Rain-resistant after 1 hour
Single component binder, so no mixing
Superior UV Resistance
A polyurethane surface is more resistant to scratching, impact and abrasion than epoxy. In fact, wear resistance of polyurethane over epoxy is approximately 3 to 1. This is because an epoxy surface, especially as it is aging, usually will become chalky and brittle to the touch.
Quartz Carpet PU300 is resistant to UV light rays, and will remain the same color. Epoxy is not resistant to ultraviolet (UV) light and will begin to yellow after several months or years. Some epoxy formulas come with UV inhibitors, but they will still eventually yellow (or amber) when exposed to sunlight.
